Azeroth Survivors Bosses: Run Clock and Boss Timing

Azeroth Survivors bosses: the 15 minute run clock, when each of the six bosses arrives, how enemy health and damage scale, and what bosses resist.

4 min readLast checked Sources

Azeroth Survivors bosses arrive on a fixed clock: one every 135 seconds, six in all, and the run ends in victory at 15:00. This guide gives the exact boss times, how many enemies and how much extra health and damage you face at each of them, what bosses resist, and the boss list of The Barrens, the one zone with its own hand-set boss health. Pair it with the beginner guide for controls and your first run.

Azeroth Survivors boss timings

The first boss comes at 2:15 and the sixth at 13:30, which leaves a minute and a half after the last boss before the run ends. Bosses do not wait for you to clear the screen, so each one arrives on top of whatever is already chasing you.

How the Azeroth Survivors run clock scales enemies

Everything scales with how far through the 15 minutes you are. The number of enemies the game keeps alive starts at 14 and climbs toward a cap of 220, which it reaches at about 13:44. Enemy health rises by up to 75 percent and enemy damage by up to 90 percent by the end of the run.

Run clockEnemies aliveEnemy healthEnemy damage
0:0014x1.00x1.00
2:1547x1.11x1.14
4:3081x1.23x1.27
6:45115x1.34x1.41
9:00149x1.45x1.54
11:15182x1.56x1.68
13:30216x1.68x1.81
15:00220x1.75x1.90

The health and damage multipliers are 1 plus 0.75 and 1 plus 0.9 times the fraction of the run that has passed. The count for each row is the number of enemies the game aims to keep on the field, not a number you can plan around kill for kill. What the table does show is how late the pressure comes: the first two bosses meet a small crowd, and the last two meet a screen that is nearly full.

Azeroth Survivors boss resistances

Bosses are harder to control than ordinary enemies, so spells that rely on crowd control do less against them:

  • Root and Stun last only 30 percent as long on a boss.
  • A boss is immune to Fear, which includes the Warlock's Howl of Terror.
  • Slows cannot take a boss below 75 percent of its normal speed.

These rules cover only crowd control, so damage is the reliable way to bring a boss down. The builds guide lists a damage-first setup for every class, and the passives guide covers the passives that raise damage and health.

Healing from Azeroth Survivors bosses

A boss always drops a heal gem worth 1000 health, which restores a full health bar for every class. Ordinary enemies have only a 1.5 percent chance to drop a 30 health heal, so the boss kill is the main way to recover during a run. The game keeps at most 350 gems on the ground at once.

Azeroth Survivors bosses in The Barrens

The Barrens is the one zone whose creatures and bosses were tuned by hand: 30 creatures from level 10 to 32, and six bosses with set health.

The other 15 zones draw their bosses from the same creature lists, and the zones page shows each zone's six bosses and levels. Boss health in those zones is not published in the source, so we list only the levels there.

Tips for Azeroth Survivors boss fights

  • Keep moving. Abilities cast on their own, so positioning is the only thing you control during a fight.
  • Use your F movement spell to reposition when a boss arrives. It unlocks at level 5, and the spells page lists the one your class has.
  • Take the heal gem even when it is far away, because it is worth 1000 health.
  • Do not count on Root, Stun or Fear to hold a boss. Damage and health passives are the safer pick.
  • Pick a class that can survive the last two bosses with a full screen of enemies around you. The class tier list and the best class guide compare them.
